The Mailbox is home to the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ in Birmingham.ÌýAfter nearly 33 years, the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ said goodbye to its famous Pebble Mill broadcasting centre, for a new home in the heart of the city centre.

HRH Princess Anne officially opened ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Birmingham at The Mailbox on Thursday 9th September 2004.

So what do we do here in Birmingham?

Network television

Television Dramas such as Doctors and Dalziel & Pascoe are produced in Birmingham.

Because some programmes have special requirements, they are based at the Drama Village on the campus of the University of Birmingham.

There is also a Features & Documentaries department based at The Mailbox, that produce a broad range of Factual programming for the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ, including gardening programmes, Country File, and many others.

Regional & Local Programmes

Local news programme Midlands Today, Inside Out and The Politics Show all come from ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Birmingham.

Network Radio

Birmingham produces a third of Radio 2's output as well as programmes for Radio 4, Radio Five Live and the Asian Network.

Local Radio

³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ WM is the local radio station for Birmingham and the Black Country. It is the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ's largest local radio station outside London.

The England and ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Local websites, 'Travel News' and 'Video Nation' websites are just some of the New Media output from Birmingham.
