I teach in local primary school to 6-7 yr old chn. We study Remembrance Day every year as part of history curriculum. We have information sent from British legion, have an ex para trooper (86 next week)who talks to children about why they should buy and wear a poppy and what happens to the poppy money. We visit the local war memorial to look at wreaths which have bean laid on the Sunday. We encourage the children to buy and wear their poppies, to participate in or watch parades. We have at least 2 1/2 days spent on topic. Yes I wear my poppy (& have 2 large poppies in the vase of my beetle) with pride. We certainly do our bit at school and the children get a lot out of it.

I really enjoyed your show this evening (Friday) while driving home from London, and especially enjoyed the 70's music as that was my era (turned the volume up for Susie Quatro!!!), and i was wondering if there was a 70's compilation Cd which I could buy, if so what would you recommend?

Charlie, very amused by your plumber experience and the washing machine having just had lots of work done recently eg. a new bath and toilet, the plumber said on leaving that a tiler would come back next week to fix up the mess he had left. That was 6 weeks ago and finally yesterday 3 vans arrived and the job was eventually done but we had to wait for 6 wks not being able to shower as there were no tiles, please don't expect a plumber to pass on the work to anyone else you will have to do it yourself..
