The Lightyears are a piano-led four-piece whose 鈥渃atchy songs and spine-tingling harmonies鈥 have earned them comparisons to The Beatles, Ben Folds Five and the Beach Boys. The Reading-based band have five releases, thousands of CD sales and 10 years of writing experience behind them 鈥 yet they are still only in their early twenties. They have played hundreds of gigs in London and Berkshire and in July 2004 supported The Levellers at Lincolnshire鈥檚 Riverside Festival. The Lightyears have attracted industry interest from EMI, Virgin Records, BMG Publishing, One Little Indian and a host of management companies. A&R mogul Peter Whitehead 鈥 who discovered Radiohead, Muse and Stereophonics 鈥 is a Lightyears fan and can often be seen at their gigs. Check out The Lightyears on the web at www.TheLightyears.com.
