Abrar-ul-Haq is one of the market leaders in Pakistani pop and bhangra music. He has a unique mature voice and the ability to write catchy lyrics and melodies. Even though Abrar is seen as a pop idol, he also sings and writes spiritual songs such as 'Rang Rang'. This gives Abrar a bigger listening audience and a connection to people of all ages.
Abrar was born in Faisalabad and studied in Gujarat and Rawalpindi. Having completed his Masters in social sciences he moved on to study legalities in Punjab Law College. Finally in 1996 he became a member of staff in Lahore's Aitcheson College as a teacher. It was while Abrar was teaching听that he wrote听and composed the song 'Billo Day Ghar'. From there, Abrar decided to try his hands in the entertainment industry - great decision!
Abrar's latest 10 track album Nachaan Mein Oday Naal, has gained him massive听worlwide fame.
"I was always fond of singing. I used to tell people that there is an excellent singer who will perform at this concert. I am sure that they used to be surprised when they saw me on the stage.听My popularity as a singer grew, but I always looked for approval from my mother. No success was complete till my mother approved. I was really my mother's boy."
