McDonald's shuts after customer brings insects in
- Published
A McDonald's in East Sussex was forced to shut after a customer brought in live insects to feed a pet snake.
The customer brought the insects into the fast-food chain on Drove Retail Park, Newhaven on Friday.
McDonald's said: "As soon as we were made aware, we closed the restaurant and asked the customer to leave."
A spokesperson said the restaurant re-opened later that evening after a "thorough clean" was carried out.
"Pest control experts have attended the restaurant to carry out precautionary checks and will continue to monitor," they added.
