'Natural born leader' Ben was proud of his scholarship to Sandhurst and repeatedly talked about it during his time in The Apprentice. Unfortunately by wittering on about it, he even annoyed Sir Alan. Watch the highlights, as seen on You're Fired!

As an .ex-army type I was intrigued to learn that Sandhurst does scholarships, however on googling RMAS(Royal Military Academy Sandhurst) I found that admission as always was by board of selection, and as no fees are paid then of course no scholarships are awarded

sandhurst do scholarships- they either fund the 2 years of sixth form then a university degree or just for uni, depends when people decide they want to apply as I think you can apply at 16 then at 18. The army guy that comes to my school offered the application forms to us. if you get through the first round of selection you then have to go on a course for a week where the army sees for itself what you're like. Then if you succeed you get a scholarship. After being paid to go through further and higher education you then have guaranteed acceptance to RMAS and have to serve 3 years on commision. So yes, they do exist. However obviously he didn't accept as he's too young to have finished uni and done 3 years commission on top. If you google Sandhurst scholarship there's an example of a guy who got one, 4th result down, explains it all.
