Episode 1: Scrubbing up First impressions of the candidates

Mona Lewis

As the candidates transform from perfect strangers to close knit teams, we take a look at the ones that made the most noise in the first cleaning-themed task.

Stockbroker Ben Clarke introduces himself with the gem, 'making money is better than sex'. Time will tell whether he's got anything more than sex on the brain?

Yasmina Siadatan boasts in her profile that 'business is about a simple formula. Make more than you spend'. But she failed to rein in the girls over-spending on the first task.

Howard Ebison bravely put himself forward as the first project manager of the boys' team. He runs pubs and tells the boys 'he's no pushover'. Although the boys took less money than the girls, they slipped into victory and Howard escaped the boardroom.

Mona Lewis volunteered to take the poisoned chalice role as the first project manager, but clearly lost control of the task. She escaped firing in the boardroom and Sir Alan commented that she showed 'spark', but how will she fare in the weeks ahead?

Kimberly Davis, describes herself as, 'a rough, tough, cream puff from New York and I'm in it to win it'. However her idea to name the girls team 'Shazam' was abruptly turned down and the team decided to go with the name 'Ignite' instead.

Poor old Anita Shah. At the opening of the first episode she confidently boasts that, 'it's my business card they're going to want at the end of the night'. She had her first and only night in the snazzy penthouse and then was packed off in a taxi by Sir Alan in the morning.
