Episode 57

Having reached her accommodation, Sìleas heads for the lounge. It would be fun to meet some of the other residents, that would help pass the time.

The B&B owner breezes past the lounge door. "±á²¹±ôò!" she calls. "Cha chuir duine dragh ort an sin. 'S tu an aon duine a th' againn a-nochd." ("Nobody will bother you there. You're our only guest tonight.")

The only guest! Sìleas leaves the B&B and goes for a walk. By the time she reaches the nearby beach, her mind is made up. Whipping out her phone, Sìleas calls Marsaili.

³§Ã¬±ô±ð²¹²õ: A Mharsaili? (Marsaili?)

Marsaili: Halò, a charaid! Càite a bheil thu? (Hello, my friend. Where are you?)

³§Ã¬±ô±ð²¹²õ: Tha mi ann an Eilean Arainn. (I'm in the Isle of Arran)

Marsaili: O! Nach buidhe dhut! (Oh! Lucky you!)

³§Ã¬±ô±ð²¹²õ: Nach tig thu fhèin a-nall? (Won't you come over?)

Marsaili: Thig gu dearbh! Thig mi a-màireach. (I certainly will! I'll come tomorrow.)

³§Ã¬±ô±ð²¹²õ: Chì mi an uair sin thu! (I'll see you then.)

Marsaili: Chì gu dearbh. (Certainly.)

Both: °Õì´Ç°ù²¹¾±»å³ó.(Cheerio)

Yes! Sìleas is delighted. Now, how to welcome Marsaili?
