Episode 43
As they are in Kyleakin, Sìleas thinks it would be most enterprising to make some money by throwing a chain across the mainland to Kyle. Just like the Viking Princess, she can levy a toll on passing boats and the girls can make some serious cash. Then maybe their road trip could take them somewhere exotic, like the Bahamas. Sìleas finds some chain and with Marsaili's help, she throws the chain across the water to Kyle. Only she forgets to hold on. Sìleas and Marsaili watch haplessly as the chain crashes into the sea and sinks. As the chain sinks to the sea bed, the girls realise that it's time to move on, but where should they go?
Marsaili fancies heading back to the Western Isles; she has heard that there are beautiful beaches in Uist. There is also much folklore and history to be explored. Sìleas, however, wants to go over to the mainland. She really wants to go to Glengarry as she has heard that the famous 18th century Gaelic poet Sìleas na Ceapaich stayed there. As Sìleas shares the same name she thinks it would be great to go there and the girls might get some poetic inspiration.
