BC Hucks piloted the first plane to carry mail over 100 miles. It flew off from Glasshouse Bath, to London on 24th May 1912. A small aviation museum near where he took off details very early flights. Is this why BC Hucks chose to fly from that area? We have a rare postcard that travelled on that historic flight which is labelled with the details of the flight and has a personal message to the receiver.
