This album features painted line drawings and cartoons of sports personalities from Yorkshire in the 1950s, many of which are autographed by the subjects themselves. The portraits include Stanley Matthews, Stan Mortenson and Fred Truman. The artist is Albert Cracknell, and he drew them and then got them signed. Albert turned down a job with the Press - maybe he didn't feel it was a secure line of work.
