This was given to contributor's mother in the 1950s, presumably to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II. Follows in a long tradition of objects that are produced to celebrate a royal event. The style of dress and coach hark back to earlier era of ceremony. The horses are made of lead. It is minute - the horses are less than 1 inch high.
