Girona Bearing

Contributed by Ulster Museum History Day

The contributor suggests that this is a "coak" which came from the Girona which was shipwrecked off the north west coast of Northern Ireland. The Girona was a galleass and sailed as part of the Spanish Armada. This item was found in the early 1970s when the contributor was driving along the coast and he has now donated it to the Ulster Museum.
