Beryl Knight brought in this Bandalasta to the ³ÉÈË¿ìÊÖ Suffolk event at Ipswich Museum on Tuesday, 16 February, 2010.
Beryl's father, Mr Bramwell, was co inventor of the material in the 1930's and went into production with the design. However, the outbreak of World War II meant production had to stop.
Sadly he fell seriously ill in 1942 and had to move to Cornwall, so production never restarted and Bakelite became the famous material.
Beryl wonders what would have happened if World War II hadn't stopped production.
