The Warwick Vase was found in Hadrians Villa at Tivoli. The restoration in the 18th Century was probably carried out by Piranesi and the Sculptor Bartolomeo Cavaceppi.
Acquired by the Trustees of the Burrell Collection with the assistance of the National Art-collections Fund, the Scottish Heritage Fund and anonymous donations.
