Visiting Bath Spa was not just about drinking and bathing in the spa water. A needle douche is an all-round shower which produces fine needle-like jets of spring water. It was one of many treatments available at Bath's Spa Treatment Centre from the 1870s to 1976. This particular one has been was refurbished and used in the James Bond movie 'A View to a Kill' starring Roger Moore and Tanya Roberts.
