This ring has been in our family since its creation. My 9th great grandfather Oliver Cromwell had it made for his daughter Elizabeth to console her following the death of her pug dog. It has been passed down through the family to the youngest daughter - it is currently in the possession of my youngest daughter. It is a micro mosaic set in a lapis stone bed and although the side has a slight chip it is in remarkably good condition for its age - the gold setting has been replaced several times. It is cherished by the family as it reflects a side of the Lord Protector that is rarely acknowledged - that he was a caring family man who loved his children
