In 1895 George Joseph Hall returned from Australia and set up home in Southwark. He had to buy things from second-hand shop. The two pots came from local pubs. The quart pot is from The Rising Sun pub and the pint pot is from the King's Head pub. Ingraved into the pint pot is a name, C Wakelim, Kings Head, Winchester St., Boro' Market. Ingraved in the quart pot is the initial R. And on the base of the pot it says Rising Sun and we think Lion St. The pubs are by the Thames on the south bank. The part of London where the docks were always very busy and also the pubs.
