Mr Fox was made in North Yorkshire around 1910. The fact he is a subject matter for a toy shows the popularity of hunting in English society. He was passed on down by the contributor's grandmother, whose father attended hunts across the North Yorkshire area. The points, particularly Holderness, were well attended and members of the aristocracy were often spotted.
