1950 Police Key Check

Contributed by Robert Pool

1950 Police Key Check

1950's City of Glasgow Check for Keys. Police Key Checks were used for identifying sets of keys belonging to a particular business within the Police Stations area. The stamped Key Check would let the officer know how many sets of keys may be required to open the premises and the Street Number of the premises. The name of the company was never printed on the Key Check as premises could be sold from one company to another and the Key Check would need to be replaced. Property of Robert Pool
