This clock is designed for a mantelpiece, is wooden and would have been produced in around 1910. The story goes that the contributor's father cycled from Huddersfield to Selby (42 miles!) to enter a running race. He ran the race and won first prize, then cycled home again - another 42 miles. He was 18 at the time. Rather a staid prize for an athletics competition!
