I dug it up in my garden in Steep Hill, Lincoln, about 10 years ago. I had never seen one with a name on it before so I kept it. It says Lincoln Brick Company and has a number one on it. The company's quarry and kilns were based at Waddington. I think the company finished about 25 years ago. A lot of properties in Lincoln are made of Lincoln brick. I keep it in the garden with another few which I have dug up over the years. (Oliver Williams)
