This statue hails from the Valley of the Kings and is made of sandstone. The contributor's grandfather worked in the Nile Delta as part of the wool trade and brought the statue back to the UK sometime around 1938-45. The statue has been looked at by Neil Spencer at the British Museum, who believes it to date from the 18th century. The grandfather also made films of the area, and these have been donated to the museum.
