This tin was issued to mark the coronation of Queen Elizabeth II in 1953 and originally contained Sharp's Toffees. Sharp's Toffees have since been taken over by Taveners, but the Queen is still on the throne in 2010. This tin was gift from the contributor's parents when they visited Maidstone, Kent, in 1953, and follows in a long tradition of goods produced to commemorate royal events.
