These flints were collected by John Leonard Waterhouse between 1920 and 1940. Most of these flints are scraping tools and would have been used for scraping animal skins.
John Leonard Waterhouse found these flints around Kinder Scout, Lord's Seat (Mam Tor), and other locations in the Peak District, Derbyshire.
The flints are displayed on wooden boards made by Waterhouse and contain inscriptions containing the dates and areas where they were found.
They are just a small selection of the flints on display at Buxton Museum and Art Gallery.
