1959 Swan Electric Toaster

A very early 1959 design of what is now a household staple. The slices of bread were put in on one side and they flipped over to the other side. This was acquired from a neighbour in the 1980s. Automatic toasters first appeared in the UK in the 1930s. The first pop up model was the American Toastmaster that appeared in 1926.
