These were made by prisoners of war in World War One, at working camps in Pommerensdorf in Russia. The contributor's grandfather was in the East Yorkshire regiment, and was repatriated early 1918 to Switzerland to give evidence at the Leipzig War Trials concerning brutality at the prison camp. The contributor also has a transcript of the evidence, and photographs.
