This was my grandfather's pocket watch. He was born in 1895 and went on to serve in the Great War at the Somme and Paschendale. He took this watch with him to the Front. In 1916 he was also involved in the Easter Rising in Dublin. My grandmother had a picture of the Sacred Heart painted into the pocket watch and it must have brought him luck.
