This carved object made of bone could be a bodkin or a decorative pendant. It was found on the Iron Age Hillfort at Dunagoil at the South of Bute. The site was excavated in the early part of the 20th century and many artefacts were uncovered including food debris, moulds for casting spear butts, jewellery, glass beads and spindle whorls. All of these are on display in the Bute Museum.
