• Cites attendance at the grimiest house parties on the Cheetham Hill council estate in Manchester in 1992 as the starting point of his career.
• Joined Sonymusic to set up a Street Team in 1998.
• Has a degree in Human Communication from Manchester Metropolitan University.
• In 2001 Semtex set up the Urban promotions department for Def Jam UK. In 2003 he was promoted to A+R manager/Head of Urban Promotions. Semtex's first signing was Fatman Scoop - Be Faithful which landed in the charts at No 1.
• Has organised numerous events including various parties in Germany alongside LL Cool J, Onyx, DJ Clue, the Lauryn Hill after party, the Ashanti launch party, hosted Mariah Carey's personal Halloween party and the Jay Z after party.
• Produced mixes for Radio 1's Trevor Nelson, Tim Westwood, Galaxy, Bassline FM as well as promotional mix-tapes for record companies such as Sony, Universal, and Loud Records.
• Semtex is now one of the UK's premier hip hop DJs. He has played alongside some of the biggest names in hip hop including De La Soul, Onyx, Wyclef, 3LW, Destiny's Child, Dead Prez, Mos Def & Pharoah Monch, Nelly, DMX, Jay Z, Dizzee Rascal and Nas.
• Semtex is the official hip hop DJ for Dizzee Rascal. He accompanied him on his UK tours as well as tours in Europe, Australia, Japan, Brazil, Argentina and Chile.
• Has DJ'd around the world including Australia, Japan, South America, Bahamas, South Africa, Germany, Switzerland, Denmark, Amsterdam and the US. Also regularly DJs around the UK.
